Bernard Mallinder married Kathleen Griffin at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Northfleet, they had five children. He worked with his brothers, Vincent and Tom, in his father's fruit and vegetable business at Whittingdon Moor. Later he worked as a mechanical fitter in Gravesend.
Thomas Mallinder married Alice Maud Smith at St Wilfreds Church in Sheffield, they had four children. He worked as an iron moulder and later started his own fruit and vegetable retail business around Whittingdon Moor.
Joseph Mallinder married Hannah Eliza Aiken at St Maries Church in Sheffield, they had eight children. Joseph worked as an iron moulder following in the footsteps of his father and uncles, Francis and Joseph.
Thomas Mallinder married Elizabeth Crossland at St Maries Church in Sheffield, they had seven children. Thomas worked as an iron moulder and established an iron foundry in partnership with his brothers Francis and Joseph.
Martin Mallinder married Ann Ellis and they had six children. Martin came from a country environment at Killamarsh to the industrial town of Sheffield where he worked as a labourer.
Thomas Mallinder married Ann Steel at the Parish Church of Eckington and they had five children. He and his ancestors lived their day to day lives in a rural farming community. Thomas observed the beginnings of industrialisation, especially the movement of coal along the Chesterfield Canal through Killamarsh.
